Abstract: A field experiment was carried out in a saline sandy loam soil at newly industrial city of Kom Oshim, El-Fayoum Governorate, during two summer seasons of 2012 and 2013 to study the effect of some by-products as Vinasse, Algee extract as well as combination of Vinasse and Algee extract as soil application, which were incorporated at rate of 600g fad". Besides, the foliar treatments that included riboflavin, ascorbic acid and citric acid as organic acids which were leaf foliar sprayed at a rate of 200 mg L-1 for alleviating the hazardous effect of soil salinity stress on some soil characteristics and its effect on plant height, leaf area, dry weight, harvest index and grain yield. As The plants chemically constituent's chlorophyll a and b contents, total sugar contents, protein, and N, P and K contents in leaves were assessed. The results showed that applying by-products of organic sources mproved many of soil variables such as organic matter content, soil pH, EC and available NPK. Foliar application with ascorbic acid progressively increased leaf NPK content in maize plant. From the aforementioned results, it can be concluded that, the application of Vinasse, Algee extract, and Vinasse + Algee extract as soil application in combination with organic acid foliar (i.e., riboflavin,. ascorbic acid and citric acid) application increased maize yield and its components as well as improving the nutritional status and quality of maize grown in a newly reclaimed soil under salt stress condition.

Keywords: (Maize, organic acid, organic sources, salt stress, newly reclaimed soil.)
