Abstract: Manure application are among the important factors affecting soil physical properties and crop The aiin of these investigation to study the effect of farmyard manure and chicken manure at calcareous soils on some physical properties i.e total porosity, void ratio, bulk density, structure coefficient, total aggregates, Mean weight diameter (MWD), and Water stable aggregates, chemical properties i.e. organic matter (OM), electrical conductivity (EC) , Hydrogen ion activity (pH), and. exchangeable sodium percent (ESP), total nitrogen (N), available phosphorous (P) and exchangeable potassium (k) and as
well as weight yield and macronutrient concentration and uptake of grain and straw yield of wheat.. A field experiment was conducted during winter season 2003-2004 in calcareous soils at Nubaria Agric Research Station (Alexandria Governorate ).Three treatments of composted farmyard manure i.e control , 10 and 20 rrr' of farmyard. manure Ifed and threetreatment of chicken manure i.e control, 10
n-hfed and 20 m3/fed.\\lheat crop were planted. The results indicated that farmyard or chicken manure led to good increase in organic matter content, total porosity, void ratio. These values increased with increasing application rate of farmyard manure or chicken manure good reduction in soil bulk density, The values of total aggregates, mean weight diameter (MWD) and structure coefficient increased due to
farmyard or chicken manure application . Wheat yield was affected significantly by farmyard or chicken manure application. The increment of grain and straw yield increased with increasing farmyard or chicken manure application rate as well as the nitrogen (N,),phosphorus ( P,) and potassium (K) concentration and uptake of grain and straw wheat were significantly increase due to studied treatment compared control.. The highest yield of wheat grain and straw was obtained by addition of 20 tonlfed of chicken manure.
