Abstract: A study was carried out to evaluate the application of compost and organic farm combination with different rates from urea fertilizers on soil fertility and maize productivity under sandy saline soil condition in Gelbana, North Sina. During two successive summer seasons, 2010 and 2011. Organic farm and compost were added by two rates (5 and10Mg fed-1) in soil before 25 days from maize sowing. Urea (46 %) fertilizer was used rates (60, 85 and 120 kg N fed-1). Grains of maize (Zea mays L) cultivar Triple hybrid 310 supplied from Maize Department Filed Crop Res Inst. ARC. The results indicated that the added organic and compost combination with different rates from N fertilizer were positive effect on pH and EC of soil. All treatments led to decrease soil pH and Ec soil due to the leaching of salts as a result of improving soil physical properties and activating microorganisms. The amount soil available nutrients N, P and K (mgkg-1 soil) increased with increasing rates of compost combination by N mineral rates compared with control (120 kg N fed-1). Available micronutrients Fe, Mn, and Zn (mgkg-1 soil) increased when compost and organic farm fertilizer were combined with different mineral N- fertilizer levels. Application of compost and organic farm fertilizer combined with different levels of nitrogen mineral fertilizer led to increase maize productivity. The macronutrients (N, P and K %) concentration in stover and grains increased with increasing rate of compost and organic farm combined with different rate of N mineral fertilizer. The combination of compost and /or organic farm in addition to with N- mineral levels enhanced the micronutrients (Fe, Mn, and Zn mgkg-1) concentrations in maize stover and grains in both seasons.
