Mohamed B. Taha( 2013). Effect Of Different Sources Of Phosphorus On Faba Bean Production And Grain QualityEgypt . J. of Appl. Sci., 28 (2) 32-43
Abstract: A field trial was conducted at Middle Egypt area (Sids Agric. Res. Station), Beni Suief Governorate, old land during winter seasons 2011/2012, using Faba bean plant variety (Giza 843), to study the effect of different sources and rates of phosphorus, control (zero) & bio fertilizer (Phosphoren) & super phosphate in three rates (238, 476, and 714 kg /ha) and rock phosphate in three rates (476, 714 and 952 kg/ha) in addition to + 2.38 m3/ha organic manure + 476 kg/ha sulphur on soil fertility improvement, Faba bean yields, its components and grains quality. Recommended rates of N and K were added in the proper time. The obtained results indicated that: 1- The residual available soil macronutrients NPK (μgg-1) after Faba bean harvesting, show a significant increments in concentrations due to P fertilizers application. Soil salinity ECe (dS/m) in the rhizosphere of grown Faba bean, significantly decreased by soil treatments i.e. application of Bio-fertilizer, Super-phosphate and Rock-phosphate. 2- A significant increments in Faba bean grain and straw yields due to P fertilizers application, were achieved + organic manure + sulphure The highest grain yield reached to 5.73 ton/ha which achieved upon treating by Rock-phosphate (952kg/ha) and reached to 8.37 ton/ha upon treating by Super-phosphate (714kg/ha) straw yield. 3- Increasing P rate either for super phosphate our rock phosphate lead to an increase in N%, P% and K % for Faba bean grain and straw, The highest value for N % reached 4.60 and 0.85 %, for grain and straw respectively, where the highest value for P% reached 0.55 and 0.31%, for grain and straw respectively, in case of K% reached to 0.91 and 2.46%, for grain and straw respectively, with application rock phosphate up to 952 kg / ha. Macronutrients uptake i.e. Protein, P and K uptake, attained the same trend as NPK%.

Keywords: (Super phosphate, Bio fertilizer (Phosphoren), Rock phosphate, Faba bean.)
