Abstract: A field trial was conducted in an old land at the Middle Egypt area (Sids Agric. Res. Station), Beni Suief
Governorate, during summer seasons 2009, using three varieties of soybean plants (Giza 22, Giza 35and Giza 111), to study the effect of phosphorus at three rates zero (P0), 36 (P1) and 72 (P2) kg P2O5/ ha and micronutrients as foliar spray at three rates zero (M0) & (5, 2.5 ,2.5 g/L Fe, Zn, Mn) (M1) and (10, 5, 5 g/L Fe, Zn, Mn) (M2) on soil fertility and soybeans yields, its components and seeds quality. Recommended rates for N and K were added in the proper time. The obtained results indicated that, the residual available soil macronutrients NPK (μgg-1) and micronutrients Fe, Zn and Mn (μgg-1) after soybean harvesting, show increments in concentrations after harvesting due to P fertilizers and/or micronutrients i.e. Fe, Zn and Mn application. Also, significant increments in all soybean seed varieties due to P fertilizers and/or micronutrients i.e. Fe, Zn and Mn application. The means of seed yield increases from 4.52to 5.20 (ton/ha) for G22 from 4.00 to 4.91 (ton/ha) for G35 and from 3.21 to 3.88 (ton/ha) for G111. Data also indicated that G22 variety was more efficient for this tested soil than G35 and G111 varieties. Moreover, data revealed a significant increase in soybean seed quality macro- and micronutrients contents i.e. proteins, P and K% & Fe, Zn and Mn (μgg-1) & proteins yield, P and K uptake (kg/ha), Fe, Zn and Mn uptake (g/ha) were found due to P fertilizers and/or micronutrients.
The highest means for proteins % reached 40.66, 37.6 and 35.89%, where the highest means for P% reached 0.57, 0.47and 0.44%, in case of K% reached 1.85, 1.81 and 1.75%, for G22, G35 and G111, respectively. The highest means for Fe reached to 91.2, 88.2 and 86.5 (μgg-1), where the highest means for Zn reached 42.25, 41.16 and 39.58(μgg-1), in case of Mn reached 32.05, 31.26 and 30.36 (μgg-1), for G22, G35 and G111, respectively.
