Abstract: A field experimental was conducted at Kom Oshem Agricultural Station, to evaluate the profitability of sugar lime using efficiency and sulphur as amendment on some physical properties and its productivity under the influence of the elemental sulphur. Wheat (Saka 93) was sown as the crop in the winter season 2004-2005. The treatments comprised six amendment additions i.e the control, sugar lime (SL) at rate of 5 (ton Ifed) , elemental sulphur at rate of 0.6 ton Ifed (Sl) and 1.2 ton/fed ,(S2) ( 0.6 ton sulphur + 5 tonlfed (SLSl», and (1.2 ton/fed sulphur +5 ton/fed sugur lime (SLS2». Application of amendments improve some physical properties as well as wheat yield component and its chemical composition. Data revealed that bulk density, wilting point and fine capillary pores were decreased While, filed capacity, available water content, total porosity, quickly and slowly drainable pores, grain yield, straw yield and the contents of N, P and K in both grains and straw of wheat were increased referring to control.. In conciusion , the best treatment in reference to improve certain physical properties as well as increasing wheat and straw yields and their nutrients contents was combined of (5 ton/fed lime and 1.2 ton/fed elemental sulphur (SLS2» compared to control..
