Abstract: Rhizoctonia solani and Fusarium oxysporum are associated with root-rot and wilt symptoms of faba bean plants. In this work, the potential of some organic soil amendments humic and fulvic acids individually or in combination and biocontrol agents (Trichoderma asperellum , Seratia marcescens, cyanobacteria mixture and Saccharomyces cerevisiae individually or in combination were compared with the fungicide Topsin M-70®the fungicide for controlling root-rot and wilt diseases and growth promotion of faba bean plants. Under greenhouse and field conditions, all the tested biocontrol agents significantly reduced root-rot and wilt incidence and increased the percentage of survived plants . consortium of T. asperellum , S. marcescens, Cyanobacteria and S. cerevisiae was more effective in controlling root-rot and wilt diseases than used any of it individualls followed by S. marcescens and T. asperellum treatments. Humic acid alone was the best treatment in this respect followed by both fulvic acid and the mixture humic and fulvic acide. Under field conditions, all these treatments significantly increased growth parameters (plant height and number of branches per plant) and yield components (number of pods per plant and weight of seeds per plant, weight of 100 seeds and total yield. The combination between biocontrol agents and/ or humic acid alone recorded the best results for controlling faba bean root-rot and wilt diseases. Application of humic acid, fulvic acid and cyanobacteria decreased of EC of soils and increased of both organic matter and available macronutrients contents. Saturation percent not changed but soil EC and pH in soil at first and second crops have significantly decrease due to studied treatments compared to control. In conclusion, the application of organic acids and cyanobacteria may be helpful to improve soil properties, improved water penetration , aeration and reflected on yield components and nutrients uptake..
