Nabila A. Ewais ; T.A. Eid and H.E.M. Sallam( 2019). Effect of Irrigation With Magnetic Water on Water Requirements of Snap Bean Plants Under Drip Irrigation System in Clay Loam SoilEgypt. J. of Appl. Sci., 34 (3) 2019 45-63
Abstract: Due to the scarcity of water resources and reflection of that on agriculture sector, for that it is very important to research about some simple and practical ways to improve water use efficiency (WUE). It has been shown that magnetic water can significantly affects on growth, yield and WUE in some plants, therefore the aiming of this experiment was conducted to evaluation the effects of irrigation with magnetized water on some agronomic and physiological traits of snap bean during two successive seasons of 2014 and 2015 whereas experiment conducted at the Barrage Horticulture Research Station of the Agricultural Research Center, Egypt. The obtained results showed that irrigate snap bean plants using magnetic water under drip irrigation system induced significant values in all studied traits ,i.e. growth, pod yield and its components as well as the chemical composition of the green pods and plants leaves .The favorable treatments were irrigate the plants with magnetic water at the rates of 85% or 70% from snap bean water irrigation requirements comparing with either the control (100% or 85% from the tap water requirements). In addition it was found that the irrigation by magnetic water at the same previous rates enhancing water use efficiency and water utilization efficiency , in the same time save 15%-30% from snap bean water irrigation requirements without significant values between the two rates of irrigation, i.e. 80% or 70% levels comparing with the control (100% tap water). There was also significant difference between averages soil moisture retention of the 85%, 100% and the control. This experiment suggests that it can by using magnetized irrigation water safe about 15 -30% from the 100% of the recommended snap bean water requirements and enhancing the green pod yield which recognized significant increment with best quality .

Keywords: (Snap bean, Magnetic water, Irrigation levels .)
