Abstract: A field experiment was conducted on a clay saline soil at Sahl El-Houssinia Agricultural Research Station, El-Sharkia Governorate, Egypt during the winter seasons 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 to study the effect of inoculation of faba bean seeds (Vicia faba, L. Giza 843) by Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) and yeast solely or combined with different mineral N and P fertilizer rates (0, 15, 25 and 30 kg N fed-1 and 0,15, 25 and 31 kg P2O5 fed-1) on some chemical properties of soil and faba bean productivity under saline soil conditions. The results indicated that application of mineral N+P fertilizers solely and in combination with bio-fertilizers affected significantly the proline content in leaves of faba bean plants at 90 days from planting, while they was not significant effect could be noticed at 45 days from planting. The faba bean treated with bio-fertilizers and different rates of N+P fertilization and their interaction showed significant increase in total chlorophyll content in leaves at 45 days from planting. While, the effect of bio-fertilizers solely on total chlorophyll content in leaves at 90 days from planting as well as pod and seed yields and 100 seed weight were not significant, on the other hand, the mineral N+P fertilization and the interaction between bio and mineral fertilizers significantly affected on these parameters which increased with increasing N+P fertilizer rates. Macro and micronutrients concentration increased in seed of faba bean plants due to increasing rates of N+P fertilization combined with bio-fertilizers compared with mineral fertilizer solely. The results also showed that the soil treated with AMF and yeast combined with mineral N+P fertilizers decreased both soil pH and soil salinity, on the other hand, increased its content of both the available contents of the macro and micronutrients.
